Our sister company Splash-Tec Ltd were delighted to be awarded two Gold standards & overall category winners in 'Best hot tub project' for their stunning Superyacht Spas at the UK Pool & Spa Industry Awards last week. Splash-Tec specialise in spa systems and controls for the marine & leisure industry.
The winning project involved designing and supplying a retro fit commercial style overflow spa for a stunning 80ft Super-yacht in Italy.
The Splash-Tec team delivered much more than just an overflow spa, but a spa where the water levels are controlled at the touch of a button and the entire contents can be transferred to purpose built balance tanks below deck, stored spa water can be pre-heated, circulated and filtered ready for immediate use allowing the client to enjoy the spa without having to wait.
The spa is powered by a custom logic controller that drives two separate re-circulation systems enabling the spa to be used in two modes either as a full overflow spa utilising the balance tanks, heating, UV & filtration below deck or as a conventional type of spa where 80% of the spa water is trapped & circulated locally for when sea conditions are unstable
A Gold standard went to Splash-Tec for one of the flybridge spas they build for Princess yachts international:
Splash-Tec’s brief was to develop a stunning luxury Flybridge spa for the next Princess Yachts Super-yacht. The Princess Yachts designers came up with their vision of a sleek sun deck spa with full length waterfall feature, led lighting, teak and stainless steel trims.
The Spa can be filled with hot or cold water in around 20 minutes and can be completely emptied in under 3 minutes. The Spa has been fitted with luxury hydro-massage jets and an air spa system. Climate change control sensors are included with various safety devices & massage settings.
Splash-Tec developed their own stunning 1.3 meter waterfall system with LED light injection, this means the light bends with the blade of water creating a precise and dazzling effect.
The end result was truly impressive and the finished spa is certainly a worthy addition to the world class yachts.
