Astral Skimmer with Wide Mouth - 17.5 L
Manufactured entirely in sturdy white ABS plastic, the skimmer plays an important role in water suction & debris retention. It includes a large capacity leaf strainer. All visible parts are treaded for UV protection to preven deterloration & extend the life of the skimmer.
This skimmer model have to bottom connections, plus an overlow connection. The strainer basket is secured in place by a bayonet locking devise, for easier removal & to prevent the backet from floating out of position.
- Supplied with adhesive gaskets, flanges, and screw kit.
- All skimmer parts exposed are UV resistant.
- Recommended flow 7500 l/h.
- In white ABS with silent weir flap and flow regulation plug.
- 1 1/2" female - 2" male suction connections.
- Ø 50 mm. solvent connection also provided.
- Overflow connection Ø 40 mm.
- Basket secured to base with bayonet fixing.
Top Tips:
- Skimmer should be placed downwind of the prevailing winds to prevent stagnant areas of dirt from forming.
- The water level must be around 2/3 of the height of the skimmer mouth for more efficient surface skimming.
- We recommend installing one skimmer for every 25 m2 of water surface, considering that;
- For skimmers of 15 Litre, we recommend a maxium flow rate of 5 m3/hour.
- For skimmers of 17.5 Litre, we recommend a maxium flow rate of 7.5 m3/hour.
