Astral Mini drain - Suitable for Liner & Prefabricated Pools

The Mini drain, has a diameter of just 175 mm and is recommended for prefabricated pools and spas.

Connection - 2" (inch) Female BSP thread

All main drains made in plastic are provided with UV protected grilles.

• According to UNE 13451-1 standard, in public pools:
• Water passing speed 0.5 m/seg
• Maximum suction velocity 1.5 m/seg
• Minimum distance between drains: >2

Recommended use of WARNER security system to detect any irregularities and effect automatic shutdown of pumps Side connection with 2" internal threads.

• Made in white ABS with grille fixed to flange.
• Suction velocity of grille 0.5 m/sec and max. flow 11 m3/h. Bottom connection with plug or for fitting the hydrostatic relief valve & drainage tube.
• Slots < 8 mm. Complies with valid standard.
• M5 threaded screws and brass inserts to secure flange and grille.
• Can be used in concrete spas and small pools.

Top Tips:

• As a safety measure, two drains should be installed in each pool at a minimum distance of 2m
• According to EN13451 the recommendation maximum velcoity through the grille is 0.5m/s
• If flat grille models are installed, the necessart measures must be taken to prevent whirlpools.
• Install the warner safety system to prevent potential bather injuries by stopping pump suction with any pressure variation.
• It is recommended by the industry that the drain be connected to a hydrostatic valve, and a drainage tube be installed to relieve the pressure that potential groundwater could exert on the pool structure.
