Introduction

If you need to replace a broken, worn or missing hot tub jet, identifying the correct Rising Dragon jet is usually straightforward once you know what to look for.

Most Rising Dragon jets can be identified by comparing four key features: jet diameter, front design, face finish and jet body type. Matching all four will dramatically increase the chances of ordering the correct replacement first time.

At Hydrospares, we stock one of the UK's largest selections of Rising Dragon replacement jets and jet bodies, covering sizes from 2" to 5".

Quick Identification Checklist

  • Measure the visible diameter of the jet face.
  • Compare the front design with product photos.
  • Check whether the finish is Grey, Graphite or Chrome.
  • Check whether the spa uses a White or Clear jet body.
  • Compare your jet with the images in this guide.

Step 1 - Measure The Jet Diameter

The first step is measuring the visible front face of your jet. Measure across the widest point from edge to edge.

Rising Dragon jets are commonly available in the following sizes:

  • 2" Jets
  • 3" Jets
  • 4" Jets
  • 5" Jets

One of the most common mistakes is measuring the rear body rather than the visible face. Always measure the front of the jet first.

Step 2 - Identify The Front Design

The front design is often the easiest way to identify a Rising Dragon jet. The design determines how the water exits the jet and therefore the massage pattern produced inside the hot tub.

Alpha Directional

The Alpha Directional jet provides a focused stream of water that can be adjusted to target specific areas of the body.

Colours: Grey & Graphite

This design is easy to recognise by its central directional nozzle. It is commonly used for targeted hydrotherapy positions.

Alpha Twin Pulse

Twin Pulse jets create two moving streams of water designed to provide a deeper massage effect.

Colours: Grey & Graphite

If your jet has a twin outlet appearance and creates a moving massage pattern, this is often the easiest style to identify.

Alpha Spinning Face

Spinning Face jets use a rotating face assembly to create a sweeping massage effect.

Colours: Grey & Graphite

This design is visually different from the Directional and Twin Pulse versions and is usually chosen for a broader massage pattern.

Directional Smooth Face

The Smooth Face range offers a cleaner chrome appearance whilst retaining directional water flow.

Directional Smooth Face - LED Compatible

Features a chrome face with a clear rear section designed to work with illuminated spa systems.

Step 3 - Identify The Jet Body

Many customers focus on the jet insert and forget to check the jet body. In some cases the insert is damaged, whilst in others the body itself may also require replacement.

White Jet Bodies

White bodies are commonly fitted to non-illuminated hot tubs.

Clear Jet Bodies

Clear bodies are generally used where LED lighting passes through the jet assembly.

Common Mistakes When Ordering Rising Dragon Jets

  • Ordering based purely on diameter.
  • Not comparing the front design.
  • Ignoring the face colour.
  • Ordering a standard body instead of an LED-compatible version.
  • Assuming all 3" or 5" jets are interchangeable.

Common Signs You Need A Replacement Jet

  • Cracked jet face.
  • Jet falls out of the body.
  • Reduced water flow.
  • Damaged internal components.
  • Jet no longer rotates correctly.
  • Worn or faded finish.
